What jobs can I get from a health and social care level 2?

  • I am nearly finished my health and social care level 2 and I have been messed around in college and I have now had enough and job want to pass level 2 I am finding it hard to find a job as I have never had a job before and I have had no training and I am finding it very hard to find a job I do not drive atm as I am still learning. can anyone help me I do not mind what job I do I would just like to know what jobs are out their for me thx all

    everyone is finding it hard to get a job at the moment. no real qualifications, not able to drive and no experience means that most people wont even give you an interview. try to gain experience by either working as a volunteer eg in a charity shop, or by asking companies to give you unpaid work experience - if you prove yourself to them, they may keep you on. try to save up for driving lessons, or what about getting a moped? go to the job centre, they will talk to you about things you can do next, they have job adverts and can offer you different courses, some are just 1 day a week or only last a few weeks but will add to your CV. once you get over 25 you will no longer be able to get these training courses through them and will have to pay privatly for them. so worth doing while you can.

As Jay so rightly says, you need a Level 3 or 4 for a job in Health or social care, a diploma or even a degree nowadays , and off course relevant experience A level 2 equals a GCSE at grade A-C (google - Qualifications Framework- ) I work in the sector and I have a Level 4 plus a degree and years of experience You could try for a job in a care home at level 2 ,and hope that they would put you through the level 3 training,and at least that would be giving you valuable experience

None. Noone will look at you with a level 2 qual, that's just basic GCSE level, you need at the very least a level 3, then a HND or a degree to be able to get anywhere successfully these days The fact you don't drive is another big hitter, good luck travelling at the times they would need you to.
