Sales jobs in singapore?

A few questions regarding sales jobs? - OTE Realistic? Insudtry - advertising or telecoms?? which company?

• I work in Sales and have been offered two jobs. I cant decide which one to take both have the same OTE and basic. How realistic are the OTE's advertised for sales jobs? Which industry would you recommend going into out of 1) Advertising, such as Field Sales for an online advertising company like Thompsons or 2) Field sales for a telecoms company like BT? I have experiemce in both and a job offer for each industry? Does anyone know of any good companies to work for in either of these industries where the basic and commission is excellent???

  Telecoms by miles! Sales reps in telecoms and IT sector tend to excel more than advertising and always appear as the more professional sales role. Advertising is still great but you'll spend more time trying to get the sales in and most advertising is telephone sales anyway so you may be duped into sitting on phones all day. (It's happened to me before) I personally find if you want to do advertising sales it's only lucrative if you you own the business!
