Is a career in marketing a good choice?

I know there are all different types of marketing careers, but I need to know is it a rewarding career, I'm currently studying marketing, and when I search for jobs in marketing (just to see whats on offer for when I'm qualified) all I find is door to door jobs and telesales jobs, they are two jobs I don't want, I've already done both of them before. I was told when I started in marketing that I would have a rewarding career one day. Please tell me the truth about what careers in this industry is like.

Well the truth is that all career sectors are tough to get into these days. Most employers are flooded with resumes so they start shrinking the stacks by adding how many years of expereince you need or they want specific experiences. If you want to know if marketing is for you I suggest trying internet marketing. You can do if from home on your own time and earn some good money. The best way to know if a career is for you is to give it a test drive. Also, go volunteer and intern at different agencies while your in school. Best Wishes!
