Posted my resume on Career Builder.com?

I have posted my resume on career builder.com and obviously can't make it to every single job opportunity I get. Most of the jobs are some sales, bs jobs. I have a full time job and can't leave everyday to get to interview. I need to eliminate jobs and only respond to one's I like. I'm foreign so sometimes its hard for me to put words together. What would be a proffesional way to thank someone for looking over your resume and ask how much does the job pay. Can someone please help. Also does anyone knows a good website to my resume.

Answer:
Many of the unsolicited 'job offers' are variations of scams and should be ignored. If they are legitimate a polite, 'thank you for considering me but I am currently perusing other options.' should suffice. Asking about pay however, is very tacky and will likely shoot your resume straight to the circular filing cabinet. You should only ask about money, vacation time, etc once you are offered the job.

It is important that you make your job search specifications as narrow as possible, because as the other response stated a lot of the responses you are getting for interviews are not necessarily legitimate. My suggestion to you, particularly if you are not good with words would be to have your resume critiqued by a resume writing company. A well written resume with key words for your field of interest would help you narrow your job search and would offer you the ability to get less responses but the responses you get would be more relevant. The best way say "Thanks, for considering me for the position, is simply stating so. My response would be, "Thank you for your time and consideration for position referenced, but I am currently seeking other opportunities that match my qualifications". As far as asking about money, the time for that is during the interview process. If it is a position you are truly interested in and can take the time to get to the interview, salary would be part of that interview. It is also better to let the hiring manager or recruiter bring up the subject of pay. Asking up front about pay rate will make you sound desperate and likely cause your application, resume to end up at the bottom of the pile verses the top. I would suggest to you to take a look at other websites outside of career builder.com. There is a lot of great information out there.
Hi, I recently too posted my resume on career builder and was being sent emails for sales positions, which were all comission jobs, no way do I want that. I work in the social service field and would like something in that area or in a management type position. I have found indeed.com draws all job postings from different websites to their board, which is very useful! Send a simple thank you letter to the person that interviewed you at the company. Tell them after the interview, thank you for your time. I have never sent a thank you letter though, thats me though:)
