Do employers really check if you have a degree?

Do pharmaceutical jobs require a degree?? please help me?

  • I have almost 5 years experience in sales but i dont have a degree. Can I still get hired? Can I lie and say that I have a 4 year degree to get the job? Do Pharmaceutical employers actually check for education? Please let me know so I know what to do and can avoid anything that can get me fired. Thanks!

  • Answer:

For a pharmaceutical assistant position, there is no requirements. If you want to be a primary/lead Pharmacist then you MUST!!! have a degree. DO NOT lie about your school because 1. most companies do check that sort of stuff (you're mistakes can be the death of someone, so they make sure to check that you have optimal training for the job); and 2. because you'll make yourself look like a fool or end up killing someone. Seriously. So if you're just looking to be an assistant in a pharmacy, a part-time kind of job, then you're okay. But if you want to hold the lead position, then go to school. If this is what you expect to do in the long run, then it will be worth it.

Pharmacy techs do not need degrees. Pharmacist must have a doctorate. No don't lie, that's ridiculous.
