I love to market stuff to people and advertising in general and want to go into a concentration in business and marketing. Can anyone list jobs that one can obtain with a degree in marketing. I know especially in these economic times that the demand for marketing majors might be higher than usual

The great thing about a degree in marketing is that it allows you a broad range of options when picking a path. Many top executives at Fortune 500 companies have marketing backgrounds because it requires a certain type of person to succeed in marketing, and these qualities are often found in executive material as well. Starting salaries right out of school can vary. You can go into advertising and make 25K-45K annually right off the bat, or you can go into corporate marketing or consulting and make 50K-80K right off the bat. It all depends on how good you are.
