Help with a TV show name?

I can't remember the name of a puppet TV show, help ?

• Awhile back, I had a random flash back of watching one of my favorite puppet TV shows on VHS all the time . I remember my favorite character because I thought he was cute . :P Anywho, remembering that and how I had even a toy to the show, I wondered about what it was called and what had happened to my tapes and such . I can't remember the name of it, all I remember is the character . I remember two girls I believe and a boy, mainly the boy . If it helps I remember on one of the tapes that they took a trip to New York . He had black scraggly hair . I think he liked plants ALOT . He was a puppet like Elmo, and he was a light yellow color . I think he had an Indian trait in the show, I can't remember all that well . I'm basing this off childhood memories . But if you can please help me figure out what his name was and the show, that would mean alot to me .
