Star Trek Question, Need Help?

In the Star Trek Documentary "The Captains". About 25 mins in Shatner is in Las Vegas for a convention & while going down the elevator it stops & someone trie to get in. Shatner say their taping & the guy replies "Im your nephew". So my question is.. Is this guy someone who played Kirk's nephew somewhere in the Start Trek shows/movies. If so in what? Or was he just a some guy. Thanks for the help
