Where both Laurel and Hardy English?

Are there any Laurel & Hardy fans out there?

  • I am trying to get some information about a modern film that was made about the lives of Laurel & Hardy - as far as I know, the film is just called STAN. I found the film very touching. Oliver Hardy is lying in bed after just suffering his final stroke, and Stan Laurel is at his bedside. They are reminiscing about their lives together, both on and off stage. I have only watched this film once on TV and I really enjoyed it. I would love to buy it. The trouble is whenever I go to a website that sells films, they have got no matches for any film called STAN. I have looked through countless pages online trying to locate this film but to no avail. Can anybody help? Is this movie known by any other title other than STAN? As Ollie might have said "Why don't you do something to help me?" Thanks. Hope to hear from you James

You are correct, the title of the film is Stan. It is a BBC drama written by Neil Brand. Unfortunately there are limitations in the US to purchase L&H DVD's. I will list my source and perhaps you can find a link that will allow you to purchase this film. It really was wonderful. I hope this can help you out.
