The simpsons-take my life please cut out part?
-
In the Simpsons episode "take my life, please," there was a part where Mr. Dondilinger, Homers old principal, said he was going to "sit under that tree, and think about all the girls he could have talked to, but didnt." Then, this next part got cut out, he went under the tree and started mumbling girls names, and it was really funny, but it got cut out!! Why did they cut it out?? Also, in "smoke on the daughter," there was a part where Lisa mentioned "the suite life of Zack and Cody," but that part got cut out too!! Why do all these parts get cut out?

Answer:
It's called " dated humor " , in the years to come , most folks won't understand 1990's references . The producers are attempting to make the humor " timeless " . Plus , when a show is syndicated , more room has to be made for commercials .
