Hell's Kitchen- Does Chef Ramsay only hire the younger & less experienced of the two finalists?

A few years ago I read where he seems to only hire the young & less experienced to win Hell's Kitchen rather than the more experienced. So I've been watching and paying closer attention and sure enough, the last few seasons he does just that lol. Season 7- Jay was alot better than Holli especially in the last season Season 6- Kevin seemed to take charge and seemed to be a better chef Season 5- Danny and Paula were pretty even but she was older Season 4- UGH. Seriously Christina was better than Petrozza?? Season 3- Well that was a no brainer. I can't believe that the Nanny Bonnie even made the final two. But what is your opinion?

Some of it probably is for shock value, and some of it might be the American Idol syndrome - the "lesser" chef has a chance to learn and the "better" chef still has major career possibilities because he still made the top two (just like AI sometimes chooses the worse of the two to win so that they both get record deals). It's definitely a trend.
