Are Concerts in Japan Different Than American Concerts?

Is american idol a good choice?

  • i really want to become a singer that performs at concerts with screaming fans and stuff. but shold i wait unil im 16 to go on american idol? im 13 now and alot of my family and friends say i have a great voice. i have no confidence tho. i've never performed infront of a crowd not in school plays or anything. im only in chorus. we have 2 concerts a year. and idk wut i should do. american idol seems really tough so. can u please help!

    i would get a vocal coach and for sure wait until you're a little older. at your age and with no confidence, american idol will eat you alive. and that's if they even choose you. i know of many good singers who have gotten passed over. american idol is all about ratings. just start trying to get your name out there. don't overlook things like youtube and myspace. many great singers have been discovered that way. just keep working at it. you are still so young, you have plenty of time. also, you definitely need to work on your confidence and stage presence. it's not all about the voice.

Forget about Idol. That won't work. Join a band, work really hard, get hired to play gigs, work your way up the ladder until you get a record deal. It will not be easy but it is what you have to do.

you have to be 16+ to be on american idol, so wait until then or at least until you finished high school !
