What does it mean to have dreams about your ex?

What does it mean when your boyfriend constantly have dreams about his ex?

• My boyfriend and I have been together for 10 months now, but ever since the beginning till now of our relationship, he has more dreams about her than me, and it's like almost every night. He dreamed that she came back and they have arguments or sex like how they use to. He told me it felt so real. What do you guys think this mean? Does it mean he still is in love with her and wants her still? Does it mean he misses her or the time they have together? For example: The last time he had a dream about her was just last night. He dreamed that she came back and they were on the train. They got into a small argument and she got off the train and walked away. He chased after her into a dangerous neighborhood filled with gangs standing around. He was worried about her going there and went to find her hoping she is alright. Two gang members got her and grabbed onto her. My boyfriend in the dream was a bit scared, and angry. There were like more than 10 gang members and he beat up two or three of them but because they got a hold of his ex, he decided to stop fighting because he doesn't want her to get hurt. He then told the gang that they can beat him all they want but to let go of her. So they did and she ran off. He screamed out to her while she took off to never turn back or come back and just keep going. The gangs beat him up. She ended up coming back though screaming and telling the gangs to stop because she loves him and that he belongs to him. She was also crying. What does this dream mean? Suggestions?   What I find a bit odd is that he's telling you all of this. There's nothing harmful if he just keeps it to himself. We all dream weird things from time to time. But the fact he's telling you is not a good sign, as it creates an awkward situation between you. There is also the possibility that he's telling you this to manipulate you in some way, trying to provoke a reaction.
