What is the maximum time to study in Canada for international students?

Dear Readers, Please help me find a way to study M.A. in Canada and achieve my dreams.Please read the details?

• I'm Yazan from Jordan. I'm graduated with a B.A. in English Language and Literature.from Jordan.My GPA was 2.67\4.However,in the last two semesters of my B.A. studies I achieved a GPA of (3.42) and (3.18). I want to study M.A. in Linguistics in Canada.I have a one year and a half teaching experience and other activities in translation and culture.I also have recommendation letters. UBC and SFU rejected my application because they accept students with a GPA of (2.8). Please tell me what should I do to study in Canada?! Are there other options?!Any advice?!Please help. It hurts so much when my whole life is defined by one single number (2.67) I have never been in an English-speaking country and I wish to commence a fresh academic start in Canada before I give up studying anywhere.
