What does it mean when you dream about someone?

• So i dont know why but dreams and things like that really interest me. So out of curiousity, what doesn it mean when you dream about someone. Someone once told me it's because they're thinking about you before they sleep, but I highly doubt the cashier at Vons is thinking about me when they go to bed. So what does it mean? Not just by the cashier, but anyone in general.

  It just means that you give them some sort of meaning in your life. Basically for some reason, they are important to you, but it could be anything. For example, last night I dreamt of the girl I like, and I simply talked to her and it was nice. The reason I had that dream was because that person is important to me, so that's all there is to it.
