Should I buy a PSP 3000 or is it not worth it?

  • I had a silver psp 2000 back in 2007 but it broke after about a year & a half so then I got the ipod touch 3g in 2009 and it has lasted me until now. I can see that it's days are numbered as it could die at anytime now so I was thinking, should I buy a psp 3000 since I still have some UMD games or is it not worth it? The psp vita is out of the question since I don't want to pay any where close to $300 for an handheld that doesn't support my UMDs and I don't really care for the touch screen or the way the main menu looks. Also will the psp 2000 charger & battery work on the psp 3000 model? Which store can I go to, that has a 16gb or 32gb memory stick pro duo for the lowest price?

    The 2000 and 3000 chargers should be compatible, the two models are very similar. Getting memory sticks are usually cheaper on amazon or some other online site. I checked amazon and a 16gb is about 35-40$. The 3000 is only better than the 2000 because it has a built in mic and a little more colorful LCD screen.
