Nintendo DS Lite, DSi XL or DSi?
-
The DS Lite I have now is a little old, and I'd really like a new one. So, which one? I know the DSi doesn't let you play GBA games on it, but what about DSi-specific games? Are there really any that I really need? I wouldn't mind a bigger screen, so is the DSi XL any worse than the DSi? Comparisons please?

Answer:
I wouldn't suggest any because there is a new Nintendo Handheld coming out called 3DS which is 3d. If you can't wait get the XL because it's bigger but it might be to big (look at dimensions)

In fact, there is not specific games that is only for DS lite or DSi ,DSi xl ,they all can play the kinda gams except the GBA game that DSi does NOT support . besides the stylus and big screen .the different between DSi xl and DSi is the volum and the battery. If you do not mind the bigger screen and if you carry bag is NOT too mini,i guess you can buy a DSi xl. Paid Contents Not Transferrable. If you have bought a lot of games via the DSi Ware and were wanting to upgrade, you might want to wait until Nintendo figures out a way to transfer these. None of the games bought on the DSi can be transferred to the DSi XL. If you don’t really buy anything from the DSi Ware Store, then this problem shouldn’t worry you too much. But the bad is The DSi XL is not so portable anymore due to its humongous size. There is no way to put the DSi XL into your pockets anymore. It is 100 grams heavier than the DSi, which is quite a substantial size for a handheld! The top portion of the DSi XL is prone to fingerprints and light scratches. I don’t know why Nintendo decided to change this since the matte finish on the DSi is good enough. This isn’t a major concern, but it is a bit of a nuisance. My suggestion is that just play the DSi and waiting for the 3DS comes out to see if this one was the one you upgrade from DSi or just DSi xl ?However, the price is definitely dropped once the 3DS comes out .lol Make a sure if you really wanna change a new console .If you want to play more games but do not like to play a lot money , you can try a supercard dstwo(USD39.90) or r4i upgrade revolution (16.99). You both can find them on www.gamesyeah.com
Personally, I'd go for the XL. It's not noticably heavier when you're playing it and since I just drop it in my purse the extra inch or two isn't a big deal. I think size is literally the only difference between the DSi and the DSi XL, and possibly the pre-loaded games. I know the XL comes with 2 mini-Brain Age games and an alarm clock function, but I don't know about the DSi.
Dsi games are just regular DS games, and the DSi XL really is a lot to carry around, even though having a bigger screen is nice. I'd just go with the regular DSi because it has fun stuff on there, like a camera, which can really come in handy.
