What is wrong with my Sims 3 Pets game on PC?

• I just installed Sims 3 pets 1 week ago and it was going soooooo slow. Then when i started making my sims, it was okay, slow...but okay. then when i started making my pets they looks like monsters! they were all distorted and crazy looking. so i thought maybe it would change once i saved it and started p-laying my family, but it didnt. theyre still crazy looking. what do I do? I really want to play ):

  Make sure your video card is supported. The distorted/crazy looking pets are a common sign of an unsupported card (especially if your sims seem ok but the animals are messed up) along with long stretched downward muzzles and body breaking apart. If you have Intel G33/G31 this one (though technically not supported due to less than 128mb of dedicated memory) was working with the game up until the pets expansion but needs to be replaced with a new video card with a good amount of dedicated memory in order to have normal looking pets. The NVidia 6150 seems to be another one that stopped working and should be replaced. Some of the better Intel chips and some NVidia/ATI cards were able to be fixed by updating your video card drivers, so you may want to try that first, but if you have the G33/G31 no one has found a solution to this problem except replacement of the card itself.
