Help building my own gaming PC?

Need some help with choosing components for building a gaming PC.?

• Recently I have been thinking about building my own PC mainly for gaming. I know the basics about PC building but not the finer details. Looking at doing it around Christmas when i have time. Budget is probably £1000 but I'm willing to go over this. The first step I figured is to choose a processor, AMD or Intel. I first started looking at the AMD Phenom 11 1100T at £150. I then Noticed the Intel 5 and 7's at around £170 - £240. The Intel 5 is roughly the same GHz but the I7 seems to be the most future proof. So fist question is which one, and do you have any experience with these processors. Secondly (depending on the processor) which motherboard. I would prefer to have 6-8 GB or DDR3, again for future proofing. I need something which will allow a powerful graphics card and not bottleneck. Moving on, graphics card. Would like a decent amount of graphic power at least 1GB but 2GB is a possibility. Cross firing is not out of the question. Finally storage, Pretty confident about this but I know it relates to the motherboard in terms of transfer rate etc. Probably going to go with a 1TB HD and also a 120GB SSD to install windows so that occasionally i can re-install windows to help with speed up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Go with newegg.com to buy all the stuff. for processor I like intel but they are a tiny bit more expensive. I7 is the way to go. Just get a quad core I7 and as much ghz as you can afford. Next I recommend 8 g of ram. Ram is the cheapest part of the computer so might as well get as much as you can. graphics card you want at least an nvidia geforce 560 if not better. That's recommended for battlefield 3. If you want future proof then go 570 or even 580. depends on your budget. Brand doesn't matter much. Just look at reviews. Anyways. good luck!
