Are my PC's system specs good enough for Skyrim?
-
I'm assuming all that's pasted below is needed. This site here has the system specs for Skyrim, but I don't know what's what. I'm able to play Oblivion perfectly at highest settings, with hardly any lag. Except in places loaded with grass and trees. http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/elder-scrolls-v/1210641p1.html?RSSwhen2011-10-25_100900&RSSid=1210641 ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 10/26/2011, 00:07:37 Machine name: KIOPC Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 (6002.vistasp2_gdr.110617-0336) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard System Model: Compaq Presario CQ50 Notebook PC BIOS: PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.1 Processor: AMD Athlon Dual-Core QL-60 (2 CPUs), ~1.9GHz Memory: 1790MB RAM Page File: 2389MB used, 1437MB available Windows Dir: C:\Windows DirectX Version: DirectX 11 DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 7.00.6002.18107 32bit Unicode --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce 8200M G DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0845&SUBSYS_360A10… Display Memory: 882 MB Dedicated Memory: 243 MB Shared Memory: 639 MB Current Mode: 1280 x 800 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor Driver Name: nvd3dum.dll,nvwgf2um.dll,nvwgf2um.dll Driver Version: 8.15.0011.8644 (English) DDI Version: 10 BGRA Supported: Yes Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: 7/23/2009 21:01:00, 7627776 bytes ------------- Sound Devices ------------- Description: Speakers (Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221) Default Sound Playback: Yes Default Voice Playback: Yes Hardware ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5051&SUBSYS… Manufacturer ID: 1 Product ID: 100 Type: WDM Driver Name: CHDRT32.sys Driver Version: 4.47.0001.0000 (English) Driver Attributes: Final Retail WHQL Logo'd: Yes Date and Size: 4/17/2008 09:07:46, 203776 bytes ------------------------ Disk & DVD/CD-ROM Drives ------------------------ Drive: C: Free Space: 15.9 GB Total Space: 142.5 GB File System: NTFS Model: TOSHIBA MK1652GSX ATA Device

Answer:
Probably for like, the lowest settings. Your processor is woefully slow, and your video card is so-so. And also your RAM doesn't even meet the minimum requirements. So it PROBBALY will play on lowest settings. But an upgrade is highly recommended.
