What happens if i run a game my pc cant play?

  • I am really tempted to try to play the Battlefield 3 Beta on my PC and eve thought it says for minimum requirements is a direct x 10 graphics card and my graphics card is an ATI HD 5450 which is a direct x 9 card will i be able to play it like all settings on low lowest resolution and windowed mode? im really tempted to play it too i just want to know if anything bad will happen to my PC My Specs -AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 945 Processor @3.0 GHZ -8.0 GB of RAM -Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit -1 TB Internal Hardrive -Realtek High Definition Audio sound card -ATI Radeon HD 5450

    usually it won't let you boot the game. last time i tried it told me it couldn't initialize the camera, which means my processor doesn't have the right specs. usually certain things are necessary to load the very basis of the game (for example, setting up the camera and the map). if this can't be done by your processor, it simply won't. whatever your settings are, without the right hardware, you can't pay the game. sorry dude.
