What gaming PC should I get?

I am looking at getting a gaming PC (I have saved up $1,500 AUS) so I can not only experience the PC community but also play my games in a different style. The main genres I play are RPG and FPS so any suggestions? Also I don't know much about PC's so if you want to tell me or have sites were I will get all the main info I need to keep my gaming PC in good condition and get the best out of it.
