Multiplayer Minecraft won't work on Windows XP?
-
Well here's my problem.. I go into single player, and minecraft works perfectly fine, then I try to go into multiplayer, and as soon as I join a server minecraft closes.. no error messages etc. It closes just like someone pressed Alt+F4. So I was wondering if there is a way to fix this, I've tried copying the files from my other computer which work fine and running them on my XP computer, but the same thing happens. Also, when I try to play In Browser, I log on then about 10-15 seconds later, the screen goes white. System Specs: Windows XP (obviously) 4GB RAM Intel Pentium D 2.80 GHz Have a GPU (don't know exact specs) Thanks!

Answer:
Hm, odd. It's not a problem with your operating system. There are tens of thousands of people running Minecraft on XP. I know about a dozen who are on XP and it's working fine. 1. Do you have Java fully updated? 2. Is the game fully updated? 3. Are you running some sort of texture pack?
