What is the recording program similar to FRAPS?

I'm new to FRAPS and need some questions answered?

• So I just downloaded the free version of FRAPS from the official site a few days ago, and I have a few questions about the program. 1) Video's I record in the free version have a fraps.com watermark at the top of the video and in the top left a bunch of numbers (I don't know what they mean but I know when you record they become red). If I buy the full version will the watermark and the numbers not show up in the videos? 2) Can FRAPS record gameplay in HD? 3) What FPS should I use? Does it have to be changed depending on the game? Right now I've been using 50 for recording Team Fortress 2 which seems to work fine. 4) What's the difference between full-size and half-size in the video capture settings? 5) Is FRAPS the best program for doing what it does (recording gameplay off your computer)? 6) Is there a way to save files recorded in FRAPS to a file type other than avi? If so which one is the best? Sorry but I'm a total noob for all of this stuff.

  1) If you buy the full version, the watermark will disappear. However, the numbers will not disappear because the number means Frame Per Seconds (You can remove the numbers at the Fraps settings) 2) Yes, the FRAPS can record gameplay in HD 3) Use the default FPS (Frame Per Seconds) 4) If your Team Fortress 2 runs in 1024*768 window - Full size: Your recorded video size will be 1024*768 - Half size: Your recorded video size will be 512*384 5) Fraps is famous but I don't think that Fraps is the best on. Bandicam is quite better than Fraps 6) You can only save the files to avi file. 7) If you want to upoad in YouTube, you have to try Bandicam. You can upload the recorded file to YouTube without converting because the recoded file size is much smaller than Fraps (1/20)
