How can i record my pc gameplay without program?

i want a way to record my pc screen without eny programs but with a external source ive tryed im trying to record minecraft and it lags every time so no programs my pc is hooked up to a vizio hd tv instead of moniter i could use hdmi to i want to use something like roxio or a capture card eny other external source will be good to thanks I DO NOT WANT A PROGRAM IF YOUR THINKING ABOUT WRITEING ABOUT ONE STOP NOW EXTERNAL RECORDING ONLY

Without using any programs Jimmy's answer is your only option. Even with a capture card you need to use a program to record. Unless your HDTV has a record function and you can hook up an external HDD to it.
