Why is my ping so high when I play pc games even though I have a good connection?

On speedtest.net my ping is 10ms, my download speed is between 8mb and 10mb and my upload speed is 5mb. But if it's so fast why do I have a high ping when I play games. I play games like Modern Warfare 2 and Counter strike source. My ping is around like 270-300 when I play games. Why????

The problem lies with your pong. Correct the pong, and the ping will follow.
