What is a good PC gaming headset?

What's a good gaming headset for PS3 and PC?

• I need a gaming headset that's kind of cheap, with voice monitoring, surround sound, and NOT long cables like TB headsets have. And I don't want cheap plastic cabling (braided or something nice). Thanks!

  The "cheap plastic cable" on Turtle Beach products is actually very high quality...and the cords are long so you can sit at a distance from your screen if you need to. Long cables are all you're going to get with wired gaming headsets, so you need to be more lenient on that aspect. Turtle Beach is also pretty high quality, with only Razer, Tritton, and Astro beating them out in terms of quality. I have the Tritton AX 720 headset, which is amazing...the cable is still long (and not braided, but it's nice polyurethane), but they're super high quality and are capable of Dolby 7.1 Surround, and connect to PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. If you don't like Turtle Beach, then Tritton or Astro headsets are your only other two good options right now.
