Why can i see through walls in my COD2? help me to fix this so i can actually see where a wall is?

the walls are physically there, because i run into them bur don't see them. I can see people through the wall that they are hiding behind. i downloaded the game off the internet, and I am wondering if there is a wall hack that i may have downloaded along with the game. the game works fine except i can't see through certain walls. can someone please help me so that i can see all walls in the game? Its really annoying shooting at someone who has an invisible wall in front of them.
