How to make GTA 4 run faster on my pc?

How should i run GTA 4 more smoothly like as it used to be in GTA SAN ANDREAS?

  • hey dis my pc configuration: 1.5 gb ram 1.6 ghz dual core msi n8400 GS 512 mb ddr2 both wid Windows XP3 & windows 7 I bought GTA IV & the game runs but not as smooth as GTA san andreas the game becomes a lil bit slower when turning on headlight at the night wat should i do 2 make it run smooth thnx in advance :)

    I'm not really sure how you expect to run a PS3 era game as smoothly as a PS2 era game with those specs without a full upgrade of your system. 1.5GB barely enough to run Windows 7 itself smoothly, a 1.6 Ghz dual core is a dinosaur, and a 8400GS is a low end budget card that uses GDDR2 when GDDR3 was the standard like 5 years ago.
