Why is my Fallout 3 for PC not working?

Fallout New Vegas (pc) modding trouble?

• ok so i just got fallout new vegas for the pc and i want to mod it. so far i found this thing called fallout mod manager which keeps all my mods to gether and working rite apperently but as most of u might kno wen i go to start it up it says this is not allowed and i have to give it administration or watever and thts fine but i dont kno if tht is the problem. see i download the mods, put them in my data folder unziped by winrar and then i put it into my fallout mod manager and it says its in there and wen i go to the game i look at files and the mods r in there but wen i go to play with the mods they dont seem to be working cause they r apperently not in the game. so if anyone could plz help i would be very greatful.

  Actually Steam's version comes with a mini mod manager. When you first launch the game, the launcher has a section called "data files". That's when you choose what mods to load and what not to load. (Hint: don't load too many, else you'll crash the system). If it doesn't show up there, it's not loaded.
