How to minimize a PC game screen?

  • I don't know how to do this! It's getting on my nerves....since i can't minimize the screen on my PC game. I am allowed to play them at school but as long as I don't distract anyone else while playing. Those are the rules. I need to know how to minimize a PC game screen, and fast.     I don't think you can. I press CTRL + ALT + DELETE. Then click cancel and quickly click something else before it goes in the screen. Long way, but its anoyying lol.

Go into the game's menu and see if you can play in "windowed mode". It keeps the taskbar visible. Otherwise you'll need to hit the "Windows" key on your keyboard so that the taskbar appears and then right-click the game's entry in the taskbar and select "minimize"... The latter doesn't always work and will often make the game simply continue. Games don't like being minimized and some may crash or won't appear no more when maximizing again...

I'm not certain for exactly that game, but have you tried alt+enter? That usually works on Windows 7. The article in the source contains a few shortcuts for XP and Vista: Minimize all windows: Windows key + M or Windows key + D (it's the button with the windows logo/flag) Minimize active window only: Alt+Spacebar+N Some games are impossible to minimize from, and some have their own key combinations, but try with these on a break.
