my computer is connected wirelessly to my internet modem can I connect my ps3 to my computer even though it is not WIRED CONNECTED? (I recently moved my computer to my living room so the modem stayed in my room)

Answer:
If you're wireless, then you have a router. You connect the PS3 to the router through a wireless connection, not another wireless device (such as the computer). Set the PS3 up to connect wirelessly the same way you did for the PC. You will need to know the SSID (Network name) and password if it has one (and the type of password, WEP or WPA/WPA2). XMB > Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings > Yes > Easy > Wireless > Scan > pick your SSID > pick your router password type > enter your router password > Save > Test
