Getting a PSP 3000 after the PS3?

• I recently got a PS3, and in the PSN, I see a decent selection of games like PSone games that are compatible with the PSP. Is it worth getting a PSP 3000 at all? If so, what memory card should I get? I mean, what GB size? Some people have been saying certain PSP Memory sticks are not compatible with PSP. How the hell is that possible? Also, are there any accessories that I NEED for the system? Like, protection for the screen or a carrying case or a certain GB size of a PSP Memory stick? Can the PSP wirelessly connect to the PS3? Overall, what's the verdict? And don't just say "Oh yeah it's awesome! Get it, man," or something. Please answer EVERY SINGLE QUESTION to the best of your ability.
