Since the new playstation 3 has built in wifi i can connect and play online anywhere?

im thinking about getting a new one because the old playstation sucks and i can never get online is the ps3 slim better? and mainly can i play games online with out using my garbage router?

The connection actually works better its not the router. The PS3 has a tighter connection. Its kinda heavy but over all its better than original PS3.

You still need a router and internet access to connect the new PS3 and you can only connect if the WiFi is not password protected, I do think it's better.

it doesnt have built in wifi if you were going to play online you would have to have your own internet connection. sorry. but if you can geta connection the ps3 is amazing for online play and connect with friends other players etc.
