How To Install Patches On Ps3?

Could I install and run WAR on my PS3?

• I own Warhammer Age of Reckoning and an account for it but my new laptop can't run it. I own a PS3. The reason I ask such a question is this; 1.I know you can install another OS such as Linux or Ubuntu on the PS3's drive 2. I know you can emulate windows xp through above mentioned OS's and therefore it would seem to me that theoretically I could do it right? However I've also read that Ubuntu or Linux will only be able to access a certain amount of the PS3's full potential for RAM etc. So I ask this question to anybody who has already tried or is willing to try this, or at the least the full specs for the PS3's emulated version of the OS's. My laptop cpu is short 1ghz sadly so I figure if I could just emulate it on the PS3, I could save some money. =)

• Answer:

  The PS3 only has 256 MB of RAM when running Linux. If WAR will run with less than that (remember, some of that 256 will be used to run Linux itself and XP if you need that too) more power to ya. But, I get the feeling that it won't. Oh, and there's no 3D acceleration either.
