Ps3 driver doesnt read disc?

my ps3 doesnt read my discs... i found that some other ppl have the same problem, but i dint find a solution, can anyone help?

i had the same problem after a year and a half of purchase. so did my friend, this could b 1 of many reasons it wont work, but for me i bought a lense cleaner that removes the dust on the lense, my friends was so bad he had to buy a new playstation... so u should buy a lense cleaner before jumping to any bigger conclusions.

I have the same problem try opening up the ps3 and looking and the scanner if it seems physically damaged buy a new scanner.You can find a guide if you really look for a guide,I found 3 so far
its broken and needs to b replaced its preatty easy a couple of screws and 1 lil cable and thats it, u dont have to get rid of the ps3, that other guy is stupid lol, just buy the part on ebay its not dat hard. htheres even videos on youtube they show u how to fix it
