Ps3 HDMI cable wont work?

  • i just got a ps3 and i had an HDMI cable and it doesnt show any picture or sound but AV works and i even went to setting and changed it HDMI and then pluged it in and it still didnt work, i have the fat 40gb ps3

    go to settings on the ps3 and then video settings and go through the process that will pop up, if that doesn't work i heard that if you plug it into the tv and tap the power bottom 3 time really fast it resets the Video so you can change it for the tv, or maybe its hold the power botton for 15 seconds

You have to switch you TV input source to HDMI. You do this on the TV not the ps3. Look for something on your remote that says input or select or somethin to switch it to HDMI

You need to switch your video settings ! Go to Settings > Video Settings > and make changes there ! You can also do the following: 1. If the PlayStation 3 is on, hold the power button for 5 seconds, it will beep once then power down. 2. Release the power button then press and hold it for another 5 seconds. 3. The PlayStation 3 will reboot and all the video output setting will be reset. 4. Reset your display settings to how you require them.
