How do I fix my PSP fat's battery?

Trying to fix friend's PSP, need some help?

  • So, my friend's PSP doesn't work quite right (and for the record, it's a white PSP 2000). The main problem is that it normally won't turn on unless the AC adapter is plugged in, and when it does turn on (under AC power), it only stays on for like 5 minutes at a time. I checked the battery on my own PSP, the battery works fine as far as I can tell, but my own PSP battery doesn't work in my friend's PSP. Not sure what exactly the problem is, can anyone tell me what it is and how to fix it? Firmware is 6.20 OFW, I believe, if that helps any.

    what ever u do do not open the psp cause it will damage the laser and action buttons and the psp will not work....other than that just go to best buy and get a gold psp battery for only $ 40.00 and its for any psp (1000,10001,2000,2001,and 3000)
