Ps3 'the attempt to obtain an IP address timed out'?

PS3 not connecting to wifi please help!?

• Alright well I'm doing a wireless set up for my ps3 slim and I do the scan and my router comes up perfectly mine doesn't have security so it doesn't need a code, it picks it up says signal 100% which just frustrates me more because no matter how many times every time it starts to do the connection test it starts to say configuring network and after a good minute it say "The attempt to obtain an IP address timed out" and takes me back! It's really frustrating because my Internet works fine, xbox live works fine, my wii and ds work fine on it too even my iPod touch. I'm even typing this from my iPod touch! I also that maybe too many things were picking up from the box but that's not the case because after I completely turned off my iPod and unplugged my xbox and wii, the PS3 still comes up with this message. Help?

  If it's linksys update router firmware,ps.com boards they'll tell u how. Watch the router when you test if the main orange box light goes off then back on then that's what happend to me as well with ps3 even hardwired yet computer worked fine or it's a port fowarding issue which also you'll find info in the boards.
