When i turned everything on i changed my tv to display HDMI 1 and my receiver to BD/DVD, but the picture from my playstaion is not being displayed. What did i do wrong?

Answer:
Connect your PS3 to the HDMI 1 port, connect your Blu-Ray player to the BD/DVD port you have it mixed up if I understand right.

you have to plug the ps3 into hdmi 1 to see it on that input go from ps3 to tv via hdmi and then you can plug from ps3 to receiver via either av or optical cable and enable multi out on the ps3 to use it for audio
that is wrong u cant do that u have to connect your ps3 directly to your tv and not doing that chain connection it wont work.
