PS3 Problem please help?

  • Please help. I don't want to say everything all over again cuz my piece of **** computer keeps on unresponding and refreshing. So the back of my ps3 the optical digital output is red. What does that mean? Is it trouble? And also, my ps3 has a blank/black screen. Please help :0

    try reseting ur whole ps3 and it will get rid ur problem and try to copy ur game data and save data if u can then reset it after copy ur old date from a usb driveor a hard drive to ur ps3 and no dont try the beep 3 times thing if will *** up ur ps3 if u dont know how to do , i almost *** up my ps3 from doing that

No there is always a red light on even if you don't have anything plugged into the output, no worries here. As far as a blank screen it could be that you are using the wrong input device, try a reset, hold the on button until it beeps three times,(with system off). will turn on then off again. If you are using a hdmi cable, i had a problem once that required me to unplug the ps3 and the tv from the wall, also unplug the hdmi cable from both for about an hour then switch the cable around, dunno why but it worked!! If this don't help then you might need to repair, Hope this works
