What size external hard drive does ps3 recognize?
-
I am looking to take all my music off my PS3 in one attempt. I have a 1TB external hard drive. I have heard that PS3 will recognize FAT32 which limits itself at 32GB. Is there a way to format the drive with another method in order for PS3 to recognize more than 32GB

Answer:
Yes, you can use FAT32Formatter: http://tokiwa.qee.jp/EN/Fat32Formatter/ Note: Even without having used this utility before (just heard about it myself recently), I was able to get my PS3 to recognize 300+ GB external drives. But FAT32Formatter is your best bet to properly format it.
