How to call Controller from View?

Why does Call of Duty Black Ops change what number my PS3 controller is signed in as?

• Whenever I load up Call of Duty Black Ops on my PS3, (and yes I have the new PS3 with the button instead of the touch power control) my controller automatically changes to be signed in as player 4. This would not bother me, except that Black Ops does not let you play unless you are player 1. So every time I load it up, I have to go into controller settings and change the controller back to 1. Two additional details: If I play another game, my controller stays as player 1, but as soon as I load Black Ops, my controller swaps; If I have two controllers connected, player 1 becomes player 4, AND player 2 becomes player 5. It is more of a nuisance than anything else, but if you have any ideas, I would be glad to hear them. Thanks!
