How To Watch Movies On Ps3?

What file to put movies in to watch them on my PS3?

  • So I figured out how to access my computer through my PS3 but I dont know what files its reading from. I put things in my public files but nothing appears on my PS3 when I look. What folder do i need to put stuff in to access them through my PS3 from my PC?

  • Answer:

It depends on the media server software you're using as each one varies. You will need to put them in the media library folder which the media server uses. Generally a public or shared folder of the program itself, or you can add folders for it to read. I personally use TVersity and all I have to do is just add a file / folder to the library and it automatically shows up. Windows Media Player requires a public / shared folder to be used. PS3 Media Server can add files and folders similar to TVersity. So just look up the info for whichever one you're using to see how to use it.

Other answers

What I do if I want to watch a movie is create a folder titled "VIDEO" on a flash drive and put my movies in there. I'll then be able to select the file through my PS3.
