Why Does My PS3 messed up?

My ps3 is messed up..................?

  • (ps3 slim) when i try to turn it on it says "Cannot start. Hard drive not found" i tried to hold down the power button until i hear 2 beeps but still the same message pops up, i take out the hard drive and blow on it and clean the slot, but still the same message. is it the hard drive thats messed up or can it be something internally?...how can i get my ps3 checked on for free and without having to ship it off...i dont want to buy a hard drive and find out it still doesnt work becuase the hard drive wasnt the problem...thanks!

    it;s the hard drive , it might have gotten dropped and loosened the hdd from the case or might be broken pull off the hdd cover , it pops off with no tools now remove the screw you see and slide it out ( screw is very tight so use a really good quality screwdriver or it will strip the screw ) , blow any dust out and reinstall it it should work after that if it is under warranty still you can call sony and get a free replacement ps3 , but will lose all the data on your since they never fix and return the same one , only replace them with a refurbished console your other option if just reinstalling the hdd is not enough is replace the hdd yourself

If you opened your PS3 while it was still under warranty. (You said you took off the hard-drive) Then I believe it's voided now. But the only way is find some solutions online, that are pretty trust-able, or if you have a friend, or family friend etc. That knows how to fix this, and is willing to do it for free, that's the only way to get it free. Otherwise go to a shop to fix the problem, or send it to Sony.
