PSP Go Charging problem Will it void warrenty if I open back and replace battery?
-
I bought a psp go in January and love it and use it allot, a few weeks ago I switched it on to play like normal but discovered there was no sound. I checked the volume was up and that sound wasn't switched off but it wasn't, I plugged in head phones and could not get any sound from head phones either. I tried doing a system restore etc but it made no difference. I left the PSP go for a few days and was going to arrange to send it back to sony to be fixed. But when I went back and tried it a few days later the psp was dead. I tried to charge it but it would not charge. the orange charge light did not even come on. After a lot of fiddling plugging in & unplugging charger I eventually got the charge light to come on and it charged. When I switched it on the sound was working again. So I played for a couple of hours then went to charge it but again it would not charge. I thought that it was obviously a fault with the power lead ( charger) so bought a new one but still the same problem and have not been able to get it to charge. Some times the Orange charge light comes on but most of the time it doesn't. When the orange charge light does come on it still doesn't charge, If any thing it is really weird it seems to discharge the battery. As when I try and plug in to charge there is 2 bars and after a few minutes if you check the battery status, it is only 1 bar. What could the problem be. I was thinking of buying a new battery. Do you think it is a problem with the battery or more likely a problem with the actual console. IF i do buy a new battery, would I be voiding the warranty if I open the 4 screws on back and remove back to change battery. Do you think I would be better sending it back to sony to be repairedAs it is still way in warrenty. If so does any one know the phone number for sony in the uk to arrange a repair for a psp go. I can't find it any where on playstation website Any advice would be much appreciated Thanks in advance

Answer:
ok well what i would is send it to sony because u cant replace the battery by your self unless u want to void the warrenty so just send it back and if that dosent work then just go a head and void the battery and do it yourself but have some help though
