Why does my tv screen turn green and then turn off?

I can turn my playstation on,but it won't come up on the tv screen and it wont turn off unless i unpug it,why?

  • everything is plugged in rite,but when i turn it on its a black screen.when i press the buttons it beeps 3 times and wont turn off.i cant get discs in it as well.

  • Answer:

    Unplug your PS3 and then hold the power button until you hear two beeps come on with the PS3 starting up, adjust your settings. Im not sure if this will work but just try it.
