Question about PS3 and HD TV?

  • I just upgraded from a Standard TV to a new LCD Samsung HD TV. The problem is when I play PS3 games like MW2 and MLB The Show 10, it just doesn't look as spectacular as I've been told it would. The edges of the players seem blurry and their faces look kinda wierd. Definately not the big WOW you should get from upgrading from SD to HD. Yes, I have hooked up the HDMI cable and switched the PS3 to HD mode. I also have the TV set to "Game Mode." Any help is great.

Probly need to adjust the display settings on the PS3 to 1080p.

The big difference you should be seeing doesnt exist. Its all marketing. Where they say you can make out lines on people faces and colours are sharp and motion doesnt blur etc, tahts all crap. It has got a higher contrast etc, but you only really see the difference when the two tvs are side by side. You wont see that much of a difference im afraid. You just paid more for the label "HD"
