Why is it that my ps3 online freeze when the phone rings?

it seems that whenever the phone rings my internet freezes this doesnt happen to any of my computers but whenever i am playing fifa or cod it freezes this may not be urgent but it extremely annoying and frustrating

do you have phoneline based internet? that would be the problem, get cable internet.
