Why is it so difficult to watch a online movie on my ps3?

• i used to watch movies online on my ps3 just fine, but for the last 2 months or so when i get on the site and i pick a movie the ps3 asks me if i wanna open up a plug in window several times and its rare if any of the 'pop up' windows are what i want. what happen? and can this be blocked? is there a pop up blocker for ps3? i thought it only happened on pc's. plus i cant watch movies on hulu anymore! what gives? i heard it was the playstation people that send a program through one of the updates so u would HAVE TO purchase the movies or whatnot through the playstation store. well thats it , i hope i made sense thanks for your time

  blame both the websites and sony sony doesn't update the ps3 browser , since it's just meant to be a basic web surfing browser websites update all the time , new codecs , updated flash versions , java updates ..`.. and they get infected with spyware they don't remove which causes pop-ups . hulu is another story , they're deliberately blocking the ps3 browser because they're launching hulu+ on ps3 as a paid service $9.99/month . if you could watch it free you wouldn't subscribe .
